February is Heart Month: Valentine’s Day that was just here, yet as important also about your overall health when it comes to your heart and its partners high blood pressure and blood sugar levels that are helpful for you rather than not.

When it comes to heart health, yes, being active is very beneficial but what you put into your body is just as important and believe it or not, food can be a part of your therapy and overall well-being, so that is why I always link a good-for-you-type of recipe after blogging about a health topic.

So here is the recipe related to blood pressure:

 

A Blood Pressure Balancing Smoothie Bowl

 

This recipe is good for 1 serving, so if you are sharing with others, adjust accordingly.

What You Need –

  • 1 cup kaleBPSmoothyBowl
  • ½ cup berries (your favourite kind)
  • ½ cup beets, raw, diced
  • ½ banana
  • 2 tbsp flaxseeds, ground
  • 1 dash cinnamon
  • ½ cup almond milk, unsweetened

Putting It Together – 

  1. Add all ingredients to blender in order listed. Blend until smooth.

 

Serve & enjoy!

 

Option: Feel free to top with a few berries or a sprinkle of cinnamon
